David Bentley

David Bentley brings 30 years of sales, sales management and general management experience to ValueSelling Associates. Prior to joining the company, David spent 13 years with Gartner Inc. where he held positions in sales, sales management and product management. Once he was introduced to the ValueSelling Framework®, David went on to set new performance records in becoming top performer in the world in 1993.

As the Vice President of Sales Development for EMEA at Gartner, David was responsible for developing curriculum and managing the development needs of Gartner’s European sales force. This curriculum included the ValueSelling Framework®, which David has been certified to deliver since 1997. He delivered ValueSelling workshops throughout Australia, Europe, Japan, South Africa and South America. David was a pioneer in the use of collaborative e-learning and simulation-based learning at Gartner.

Prior to Gartner, David was managing director for Ores Ltd, an international software development company, where he had P&L responsibility for the U.K. operating unit. Prior to Ores, David spent seven years in sales and sales management with EPS Consultants. He began his career as an operational research analyst for Spillers, a UK FTSE 100 food manufacturing company, where he applied mathematical solutions to management problems.

David holds an honours degree in mathematics from Sheffield University.
